MAT
A senior paramedic with a Post Graduate Diploma in advanced paramedical studies, Mat works for Ambulance Victoria as an emergency responder, paramedic educator and mentor to new graduate paramedics as well as providing ongoing support and continuously updating the other paramedics at his branch
With over 14 years experience in teaching and educating undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate nursing, medical and paramedical staff, Mat is an accredited instructor with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) where he teaches evidence-based resuscitation guidelines and skills to healthcare professionals on the internationally renowned, ARC & RC (UK) co-badged Advanced Life Support (ALS) Course
Prior to this, Mat was also an accredited instructor for TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), the internationally recognized premiere course for all nurses working in hospital emergency departments and trauma centres worldwide – Mat has now retired from this role
When Mat’s not racing around town saving lives with lights and sirens blazing, he also works part time as a senior emergency nurse and has practiced in several major teaching and referral hospitals, both metropolitan and regional spanning across 3 countries – Australia, New Zealand and the UK
Mat brings an amazing amount of firepower to the KidzAid line up and is an invaluable addition to the superhero team.
